Bound Rings Ltd Warranty Policy

1. WARRANTY COVERAGE

1.1 What is Covered

Bound Rings Ltd provides a Lifetime comprehensive warranty from the date of original purchase against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship.

Manufacturing defects covered under this warranty include, but are not limited to:

  • Structural failures: Cracking, breaking, or splitting of the ring under normal wear conditions

  • Material defects: Premature deterioration, discoloration, or degradation of the base material

  • Finish defects: Surface scratches present upon delivery, uneven finishing, or coating/plating defects

  • Workmanship issues: Loose inlays, detached components, or poor construction that affects ring integrity

  • Engraving defects: Fading of engraving or incorrect/defective engraving performed by us

1.2 Materials Covered

This warranty applies to rings made from the following materials:

  • Tungsten carbide

  • Titanium

  • Stainless steel (304 and 316L)

  • Black zirconium

1.3 Special Coverage: Tungsten Carbide Cracking

Due to the brittle nature of tungsten carbide, we offer one (1) replacement ring if your tungsten ring cracks under normal wear conditions during the warranty period, even if the cause is accidental impact. This is a one-time replacement per ring.

1.4 Engraving

Engraving performed by Bound Rings Ltd is covered under this warranty for:

  • Fading or wearing away of engraving

  • Incorrect engraving (misspellings, wrong text) caused by our error

  • Poor engraving quality that affects legibility

2. WHAT IS NOT COVERED

2.1 Normal Wear and Tear

This warranty does not cover:

  • Fine scratches, scuffs, or surface marks from daily wear

  • Deeper scratches or scuffs from impacts or abrasion

  • Dulling of polish or finish over time

  • Minor discoloration from exposure to chemicals, cleaning products, or environments

Exception: If wear is so excessive that it compromises the ring's shape, style, or thickness to the point where structural integrity is affected, this may be considered a material defect and will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. Our rings are designed to last—premature excessive wear indicates a defect.

2.2 Silicone Rings

Silicone rings are excluded from this warranty due to their intentional break-away safety design. Silicone rings are designed to tear or break under pressure to prevent finger injuries and are therefore not covered for tearing, stretching, or breaking.

2.3 Exclusions

This warranty does not cover:

  • Loss or theft of the ring

  • Accidental damage (drops, crushing, impacts) except tungsten cracking as specified in Section 1.3

  • Modifications or repairs performed by third parties or by the customer

  • Resizing attempts by third parties or the customer

  • Intentional damage or abuse

  • Damage from extreme conditions such as industrial work with heavy machinery, extreme sports, or exposure to excessive force beyond normal wear

  • Improper care including use of harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaning methods, or failure to follow care instructions

  • Engraving performed by third parties (only our engraving is covered)

  • Rings purchased from unauthorized sellers (warranty only valid for purchases made directly through www.boundrings.co.uk or boundrings.com)

2.4 Warranty Void Conditions

This warranty becomes void if:

  • The ring has been resized, modified, or repaired by anyone other than Bound Rings Ltd

  • The ring has been subjected to intentional damage or misuse

  • The ring has been altered in any way from its original condition

  • Proof of purchase cannot be provided or verified
