Why we exist

We started Bound because shopping for wedding rings felt like choosing between two extremes: expensive traditional metals we didn’t trust to fit an active lifestyle, or cheap mass-produced rings that didn’t feel made to last.

We wanted minimalist rings (no stones, no fuss), that could work as a matching set—and that you can wear every day without constantly thinking about scratches and maintenance.

The origin story

Bound began when me and my partner, Emma, were trying to choose our own wedding rings. I wanted something that would keep up with the gym and day-to-day knocks, and I didn’t want anything that needed ongoing maintenance. Emma wanted a minimalist ring—no gems, simple upkeep—and we both wanted a pair that felt cohesive together.

We couldn’t find the balance: the market seemed full of either traditional precious metals at prices we couldn’t justify, or “budget” rings that often relied on plating or gimmicks we didn’t trust long-term. So we decided to build the option we wished existed.

What we do differently

We select designs and materials based on how they actually behave in everyday wear, then source rings directly from specialist manufacturer. We keep production runs small-batch so our customers get the benefit of efficiency (lower prices), coupled with the premium quality and attention to detail that can get lost in high volume.

Our launch materials include tungsten carbide (nickel binder), stainless steel (304 and 316L), black zirconium, and titanium - so you can choose the feel, weight, colour, and toughness that best matches your life.
